JOB MISSION:


The Associate Marketing Manager for Team Sports is the connective tissue between all marketing functions supporting the Team business. You will play a vital role in shaping and leading New Balance’s charge in growing our market share across multiple sport categories and channels.


MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Enhance current partnerships with key customers (including key collegiate partnerships, direct clubs, and dealers) to drive mutual benefits and ROI
  • Execute the Team Sports marketing strategy across NB channels (social media platforms, digital experiences, collegiate, events, OOH/on field, grassroots etc.) and work directly with marketing and business counterparts within the organization, including international teams
  • Improve brand investments in collegiate partnerships/athletes and elevate brand presence on campus
  • Develop the team sports marketing calendar creation process and connect various program components to support Channel and Brand marketing, sales, and site teams focused on the Team Sports business.
  • Manage all Team Sports marketing assets (digital and physical) from creation requests/photo shoots to asset distribution across Team Sports sales channels, including site, to ensure maximum reach and impact
  • Coordinate with broader marketing team to maintain a consistent brand voice and look across all Team Sports messaging
  • Develop Team Sports email strategy through a combination of newbalance.com campaigns and team-specific campaigns
  • Support the Team Sports Sales organization with their needs for various sales tools, customer support (retailer, direct, collegiate), lead generation, catalogs, etc.
  • Handle creation of launch materials for new products and bring key stories to life within the team channel
  • Play a key role in the continuous innovation of how NB Team Sports can connect with athletes and convert into lifelong consumers
  • Lead the Team Sports integration with NB loyalty and retention teams to ensure we communicate authentically to athletes and fans on a regular basis


REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:


  • Shown experience with marketing program development
  • Knowledgeable within key Team Sports, including baseball/fastpitch, global football, basketball and American football
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to be customer facing
  • Understanding of marketing analytics and how to make takeaways actionable
  • Ability to navigate across multiple GBUs forming proper working relationships for teamwork
  • Proven knowledge of the Team Sports landscape, especially club and institutional environments
  • Track record for innovating and crafting compelling content and ideas
  • 3-5 years professional experience
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, nights and weekends
  • Ability to travel
  • Technical proficiencies in the following systems are recommended but not required: Emarsys, Google Analytics, Adobe Omniture, Photoshop, Canva, and brief submission tools like Asana.

Flexible Work Schedule


For decades we have fostered a unique culture founded on our values with a particular focus on in-person teamwork and collaboration. Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced “Work from Anywhere” (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
