Biathlon is considered one of the most demanding and impressive winter sports, showcasing both incredible skill and athleticism. 

Picture this: Athletes racing through the snow-covered wilderness, their muscles pumping with every stride as they make their way around a grueling cross-country ski track. But wait, it's not just about speed and endurance - they must also demonstrate incredible marksmanship skills by hitting targets while their heart rate is elevated and their breaths are shallow. 

The precision and control required for biathlon are awe-inspiring. With half of the shooting rounds done in a prone position and the other half standing, athletes must quickly adjust their stance and technique to hit the targets with pinpoint precision.

Biathlon Canada is the national governing body for the sport of biathlon in Canada. Biathlon Canada’s purpose is to develop, fund, promote and operate activities, programs and facilities for the purposes of governing, advancing and promoting the sport of biathlon in Canada on a nationwide basis.
