USGA has launched the application for its Pathways Internship Program – a 10-day immersive, educational experience taking place throughout the week of the U.S. Open with the goal of exposing students from underrepresented communities to careers in golf.   • Students received classroom-style instructional sessions paired with job shadowing and on-site training that covering all aspects of a major championship
  • Networking opportunities with local and national leaders from the golf industry and beyond
  • 2022 inaugural class included students from 22 institutions, including HBCUs and other accredited universities
  • Golf is an $84 billion industry that provides nearly 2 million U.S. jobs
  • USGA recognizes the need to prioritize career development programs to funnel individuals from underrepresented communities into the game
