USRowing’s mission is to steward, strengthen, and grow American rowing by championing performance and igniting new passion for the sport. We aim to do that by broadening access to the sport for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities; supporting a strong national team; prioritizing the wellbeing and success of our athletes; being accountable and transparent; and insisting on financial and operational excellence in everything we do.

We are a nonprofit membership organization recognized by the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee as the national governing body for the sport of rowing in the United States. USRowing selects, trains, and manages the team that represent the U.S. in international competition.

We serve over 75,000 individual members and 1,400 rowing organizations. Our constituencies include youth, collegiate, masters, adaptive, indoor, and coastal rowers; coaches; program directors; referees; supporters and fans.
