Summary


WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU


As a valuable member of the team, the Coordinator works closely on hockey development initiatives with a strategic emphasis on fan development, league-wide scholastic initiatives and youth hockey programs to improve the cultural availability, inclusivity and awareness of hockey and NHL brands.


Must have a passion for developing pathways for youth and underrepresented communities to have positive experiences participating in hockey. The Coordinator is a self-starter that will have solid project management experience, exhibit strong leadership, communication and management skills.


Position will also help with various other projects supported through the Industry Growth fund including administration of grants, internal/external presentation development & storytelling and Public Relations coordination around successful programs and initiatives.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Manage day-to-day operations of strategic education partnerships and youth hockey programming, including but not limited to:
  • Coordination of existing NHL & NHLPA Education Program(s)
  • Exploration of future scholastic initiatives
  • Coordination of Teacher Appreciation Program(s)
  • Creation of Teacher Ambassador Program(s)
  • Coordinate synergies between scholastic programming and opportunities between NHL youth hockey programs such as Learn to Play, First Shift, Kids Clubs & NHL Street
  • Coordination and activation support for Scholastic Program activations at marquee events (All-Star Kids Day)
  • Corporate Sponsor coordination and management of programs
  • Assist with the coordination of development mechanisms for data capture
  • Assist with capturing measurements of success across all programming through data acquisition, revenue impact, media impressions, etc.
  • Coordinate the execution of special activations at premier NHL events
  • Manage data collection and analysis to measure social impact and business growth and effectiveness of programs
  • Partner with internal departments and external partners to bring to life strategic event, storytelling and product opportunities


Qualifications


Knowledge Areas/Experience


Required


  • 3+ years of experience in project management
  • Strong subject matter knowledge of youth and amateur sports industry


Preferred


  • Youth-based and/or sport-based experience in hockey, a plus


Education/Certifications


  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence at leadership levels
  • Highly organized, attention to details and strong follow-through

SALARY RANGE:


$60-70K


Actual base pay for a successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to: experience/training, market demands, and geographic location.
