We are seeking a data engineer to lead the development of our data pipeline and infrastructure, as well as play a key engineering role in overall platform development.

Being the foundation of our entire platform, our data stack is critical to our ability to provide timely and impactful recommendations to our clients. You will oversee and execute on the development and maintenance of our data pipelines, data store solutions and cloud deployments - with emphases on scalability and reliability. You will also work directly with customer success members on ensuring we are delivering our product on a daily basis. We are looking for someone who can bring engineering experience in maintaining a cloud-based data infrastructure with a large Python codebase and is willing to grow and move quickly with us as we build out both our team and a platform that continues to drive leading sports and live event organizations forward.


Job Functions:

  • Build and maintain production-level data pipelines for ETL processes (Python) and system integrations.
  • Collaborate with customer success team to deliver product daily and further reliability efforts.
  • Architect and manage data lake for efficient use by data science and web teams.
  • Engineer and develop cloud-based deployments of data pipelines, including automated deployments, containerization and job orchestration.
  • Work with product and web team to develop new features related to data collection and datafeed setup and monitoring.
  • Ensuring privacy, compliance, and security protocols for our data.
  • Be a key voice in engineering decisions, evaluate new techniques and ensure that our platform is always moving forward.
  • Help build a collaborative engineering culture focused on ownership and empathy for our customers.


Requirements:

  • At least four years of experience working on production-level data pipelines as part of an engineering team.
  • Experience writing and maintaining ETL processes (Python) which operate on a variety of structured and unstructured sources.
  • Experience designing data models and data warehouses.
  • Experience in large scale distributed data processing and orchestration (e.g. Airflow, Prefect, Step Functions).
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud solutions, primarily server management and serverless computing.
  • Familiarity with cloud operations management/configuration using tools like Terraform and/or Cloudformation is a plus.
  • Strong CS fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of sports, concert, or ticketing industries is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to meaningfully generate value in an entrepreneurial environment is a plus.
