Position Summary

While Basketball Operations runs the league’s on-court activities, other departments manage relationships with television and digital media partners, develop marketing partnerships with some of the world’s most recognizable companies, oversee the licensing of NBA merchandise, and handle a wide range of responsibilities that drive the NBA’s success.
Major Responsibilities
- Research and analyze NBA's content performance with a specific emphasis on the NBA's DTC platforms (NBA App, NBA.com, connected devices)
- Manage daily, weekly and ad hoc reporting of content performance across NBA DTC assets
- Identify and communicate key insights to the Content publishing teams to optimize NBA's owned content performance across site, app and connected devices
- Must also be able to translate these same complex insights to leadership in a clear and concise manner
- Develop statistical models and data-based frameworks to measure the impact of non-live game content on acquisition and retention within our DTC products
- Partner with data strategy teams on development of automated content performance dashboards within Tableau and Power BI
Required Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree or related field
- 2-5 years working in an analytical, research or content marketing analytics role that is focused on web/app/DTC platforms is preferred
- Strong experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Mode, Power BI, or Looker
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tooling like DBT
- Experience with Python/R is a plus
- Experience utilizing Jira & Confluence to track ongoing tickets/work and document processes
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong data manipulation and modeling skills in SQL to perform queries, pull data & automate processes from our data warehouse (Snowflake)
- Knowledge of and experience with digital analytics platforms such as Amplitude or comparable event based tools (Google Analytics, etc)
- Knowledge of and passion for the ever-changing DTC media landscape
