Overview /Objective


The Quality Control team’s role is to ensure all officially licensed products meet brand standards of the NFL and its 32 member clubs. Through a thorough review of every product design the QC team evaluates the accuracy of marks, logos, colors and design parameters. The QC team does not creatively direct licensees on the concept, direction or design of their product, but may offer recommendations for how to resolve a design that is in conflict with the guidelines.


Responsibilities


  • Learn and protect the NFL all 32 Club brands
  • Review both apparel and hard goods to ensure that they align with both NFL and all Club brand guidelines in NFL Quality Control review system
  • Manage his/her own schedule to accommodate the volume of products reviewed
  • Clearly communicate any changes needed on products
  • Communicate consistently and effectively with the rest of the Quality Control team to ensure consistency among all product
  • Be well versed in trademark compliance
  • Establish and foster external relationships with licensees and each of the 32 clubs
  • Manage internal relationships with other departments including Consumer Products, Sponsorship and Legal


Required Qualifications


  • Experience in product approval and quality control review
  • An understanding of the NFL brand
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exhibits the ability to distinguish color
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Must be well-organized and punctual


Preferred Qualifications


  • 4-year degree or equivalent education
  • 5-7 years professional experience
  • An understanding of sports apparel and product
  • Experience participating in line reviews

Salary / Pay Range

Terms / Expected Hours of Work


  • FSLA Non-Exempt
  • This job posting is for a position with one of the NFL’s third-party agency partners that provides services to the NFL. The individual selected for this role will be an employee of that third-party agency and not the NFL. All compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment are handled by the agency. The assignment to provide services to the NFL will be limited in duration but may be extended for an additional period by agreement between the NFL and the agency.
