Human Resources Director

Athletes Unlimited is looking for a Director of Human Resources to serve as a strategic partner in the growth and development of the organization, setting a new standard for workplace culture and employee benefits. This is an HR generalist position, with responsibilities ranging across multiple HR disciplines. This position is full-time and reports to the SVP of Finance & Operations.


Responsibilities

  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified candidates job applicants for open positions in coordination with hiring managers
  • Develop and oversee a robust and welcoming onboarding process for both full-time employees and seasonal contractors
  • Manage all programming with regards to employee experience both in-season and out of season, tracking employee engagement across multiple platforms
  • Lead employee engagement strategy and programming, including (but not limited to) performance reviews, ERGs, and benefits usage
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to execute on relevant DEIB initiatives that meet the needs of the organization
  • Serve as a strategic leader in talent development across the organization, identifying upskilling opportunities and sourcing educational vendors as necessary
  • Implement and manage employee recognition programs as part of a larger retention strategy
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute HR programs including (but not limited to) salary market research, benefits, and leave
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues
  • Ensure compliance with both mandatory and non-mandatory trainings and assessments in lockstep with Legal
  • Analyze and leverage trends and analytics to recommend solutions, programs, and policies
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law


Requirements
  • 7 or more years of relevant experience
  • Must be able and willing to work remotely
  • Proven track record of taking initiative and contributing to organizational improvement
  • Comfort with operating HRIS, ATS, LMS, and performance management systems
  • Proficiency with GSuite tools strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously while incorporating feedback and guidance from others
  • Mind for strategic planning across multiple HR disciplines and capacity to serve as an advisor to senior leadership
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with emphasis on emotional intelligence (EQ)
  • Ability to be discreet and keep sensitive information confidential
