As the Partnership Engagement Coordinator, you will be responsible for the execution of Detroit Pistons sponsorship agreements. In this role, you will work closely with the Partnership Engagement Director to run day-to-day partnership activations aimed at ensuring all sponsorship agreements are being fulfilled, while providing outstanding service to all our corporate partners.

What You’ll Be Doing


  • Work with the Partnership Engagement Director on the execution and management of high-level partnership accounts.
  • Acting as a key contact with assigned Partners (clients), maintaining day-to-day relationships between Partners and internal departments.
  • Delivering strategic and innovative marketing concepts and strategies that achieve partner objectives.
  • Collaborating with internal departments and partners to ensure contracted assets are in place and activated. Assets include, but are not limited to, signage, events, media, and hospitality.
  • Responsible for partner growth through innovative upsell opportunities and renewals.
  • Evaluating effectiveness of partnership marketing plans regularly and adjusting as needed.
  • Entertaining and hosting high-level corporate executives.
  • Assist with department needs as assigned.


What We’re Looking For


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of sports marketing/corporate partnerships' experience preferred.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Sense of urgency paired with outstanding customer service skills and judgment.
  • Excellent organizational & interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.


The coordinator will act as a key day-to-day contact for some of the Pistons most valued partners. Expected to perform at an industry leading, best-in-class level, the coordinator role is a key steppingstone to a successful career in Corporate Partnerships.
