Your role


As Producer for CBC Sports and Olympics, you will be responsible for brand integration executions for multiple partners on digital and social media platforms. You will assist in conceiving, planning, assigning, and managing digital and social campaigns across CBC Sports platforms in collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders. You will manage a variety of both small and large-scale projects with some of Canada’s largest brands.


Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of digital and social concepts and campaigns that exceed client expectations, KPIs, and performance benchmarks.
  • Lead a variety of projects from start to finish including the following:
  • Responsible for the creation, pitching and presenting of ideas to clients and internal teams that reflect management strategies.
  • Overseeing the creative direction of websites, digital videos, and social media content.
  • Responsible for the execution of partner strategies, ensuring all digital obligations and KPIs are met.
  • Monitor campaign performance, create client-facing reports that outline insights and key learnings and present findings to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop content including assigning, researching, gathering, writing and/or editing.
  • Oversee design and development of interactives, websites, applications, etc. working alongside UI/UX designers and developers.
  • Work with internal and external teams to produce high-quality digital and social media content from storyboarding to script writing to editing, you will oversee the entire process.
  • Build and manage social media content calendars.
  • Assign, coordinate and supervise the work of team members and external freelancers.

What You Bring

  • A minimum of five years of experience which must involve work in digital, digital marketing, digital content creation, or a closely related industry.
  • Ability to present ideas to partners and serve as a representative at internal and external meetings.
  • Proven experience producing digital campaigns from ideation to execution in the form of a portfolio or work.
  • Copywriting, SEO headline writing, and copy-editing experience are required.
  • Strong knowledge of successful digital and social platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • In-depth understanding of key social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok.
  • Understanding of Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro & Photoshop experience is an asset).
  • Understanding of the digital publishing industry, tools, and best practices for producing editorial content.
  • Ability to participate in a highly creative and collaborative team.
  • Ability to handle multiple partner projects and tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Including the ability to edit or rework the work of others, and to clearly explain concepts to peers and management.
  • Ability to contribute to the diversity of perspectives on the team with ideas that will help connect with and grow new audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with daily deadlines.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time under pressure and still maintain a cooperative relationship with colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and work overtime as required (for example, during the Olympics or other international sporting events).
