Senior Content Coordinator, Sports Betting & Fantasy

The Senior Content Coordinator, Sports Betting & Fantasy drives cross-platform content initiatives for ESPN BET and ESPN Fantasy through detailed research and content creation. This role is responsible for supporting front-facing talent and shows, creating content and elevating betting and fantasy content across ESPN. This job is based in Bristol, CT and will report to the Senior Director, ESPN BET Content Integration.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide research support for fantasy and betting talent, inclusive of stats, insights and other notes relevant for content across ESPN platforms
  • Provide sports betting insights for daily (or multiple times per week) internal sports betting "newsletter" sent to content groups
  • Contribute to the creation and execution of ESPN BET talent-driven special markets in support of Senior Director, ESPN BET Content Integration
  • Write odds/research-based sports betting files, occasional research-driven columns and contributes to roundtable picks files across sports betting and fantasy
  • Research lead for Fantasy Football Marathon, including compression planning
  • Internal communications lead for Tournament Challenge Marathon, providing nightly insights across content teams
  • Core planning and research role in sports betting content stunts and odds-based events and releases
  • Assist with ESPN Fantasy game operations, including management of player database
  • Collaborate with content teams to provide guidance on content creation, specific to research and storylines


Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in research-based content creation
  • Understanding and appreciation of news, story play and trending topics.
  • Understanding of fantasy and sports betting, including various forms, methods of engagement and gameplay
  • Strong knowledge of an array of sports
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and editorial judgment.

  • Experience working directly with front-facing talent
