About The Role

We're seeking a motivated and creative Short Form Social Media Intern to work closely with our dynamic team in creating captivating video content across platforms like TikTok, Reels, and YouTube. If you're passionate about sports and social media and ready to contribute to our exciting journey, we'd love to have you on board.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our content team to develop, produce, and edit short-form sports video content for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube platforms.
  • Brainstorm and pitch creative ideas for engaging sports-related video content that resonates with our target audience.
  • Stay up-to-date with sports industry trends, viral challenges, and popular content formats on social media platforms.
  • Assist in planning and executing content calendars to ensure consistent and timely delivery across social media platforms.
  • Work closely with the team to source and select relevant footage, images, and music to enhance the visual appeal of videos.
  • Edit and optimize videos for each platform, adhering to the best practices for each platform's algorithm and audience behavior.
  • Monitor engagement metrics and audience feedback to gather insights and iterate on content strategies.
  • Contribute to the growth of our social media channels by engaging with the audience, responding to comments, and participating in relevant conversations.

Ideal Skills + Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Marketing, Media Studies) or recently graduated.
  • A deep passion for sports and a solid understanding of sports culture, trends, and terminology.
  • Knowledge of video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and willingness to learn new tools and techniques is a plus.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube, with an understanding of their content requirements and algorithms.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate original and engaging content ideas.
  • Strong attention to detail and maintaining consistent quality across multiple videos.
  • Practical communication skills and a collaborative attitude to work within a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design and animation principles is a plus
  • Experience running a substantial sports social media account is a plus
  • A portfolio of previous video content projects, even if informal, will be highly regarded.
