2024 Social Media Internship - Storyoftheseason.com
StoryIt (Storyoftheseason.com) is a fast-growing boutique sports media startup servicing athletic departments for high school and college teams. We offer a wide range of individualized digital media and fundraising solutions. Since our inception, we have published over 1,000 digital magazines for more than 200 programs across the United States, and we have transformed the way coaches promote their programs and their players.
We are actively seeking to add members to our team who are passionate about sports media and creating beautiful and engaging social media content for our brand and for our sports-based clients. Our ideal candidate is a high energy person who is deadline- and detail-oriented with strong communication and project management skills and an ability to execute multiple projects at once. We are looking for candidates who are excited about social media branding and growing an online presence. We are hiring for Spring and Fall internship positions with significant opportunities for growth. This position is fully remote.
Interns are paid on an hourly rate of $15 per hour or on a weekly stipend with potential for full time opportunities upon graduation.
Primary responsibilities:
- Working within brand guidelines to create and curate various social media content
- Working across social media platforms to grow viewership and engagement
- Curating content for our clients and organizing digital content databases
- Executing weekly distribution campaigns for our digital magazines
- Collaborating and communicating new ideas and strategies
- Provide constructive input during team meetings and planning sessions
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle changing priorities and multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in content creation for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, etc.)
- A high school diploma (or at least 2 yrs. of work experience)
- Preferred - former athlete / sports media experience
- Required - Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.)
- Required - Social media management experience
- Required - Basic video editing and content creation experience
